About me
Hello, I’m Sue, I’m a qualified counsellor providing in-person and online counselling for personal growth
My background
I am a qualified humanistic- existential counsellor experienced in working with clients with a range of presenting issues including loss, bereavement, anxiety and depression. I currently also work as a counsellor for a national mental health charity.
I continue to participate in training as part of my ongoing professional development. This includes: working with substance misuse, person centred therapy, mental health first aid, existential therapy, attachment theory and working with trauma.
My approach
The humanistic-existential counselling I offer is a holistic approach, working with you to explore what it means to be human and, in particular, what it means for you to live in your world at the present time.
The focus is on how you are currently experiencing your life and what you would like it to look like going forward. By exploring feelings, relationships and past experiences, you can gain greater self-awareness and understanding of your situation. This can reveal choices open to you in order to take ownership of your life and to heal and grow.
